What was the customer’s request?

To install a Berliner wall on the lot boundary for the excavations needed to optimally construct the underground car park on the premises.

What technical challenges did the project pose?

The idea was to use the Berliner wall as sacrificial shuttering, so it was crucial in this respect that the profiles and sheeting for the Berliner wall could be installed in one straight line. This would avoid excess concrete consumption for the basement wall. Additionally, the floor and wall nets could be installed without grinding or folding, to the great satisfaction of the basement builder.

How did CVR tackle it?

By employing operators and sheeting personnel with knowledge and experience gained over many years, who attempt to install every Berliner wall as correctly as possible.

What was the end result?

A, seemingly perpendicular and smooth Berliner wall, which permits the customer to pour a basement wall with minimum concrete consumption.
